Pnuematec AS was founded in 2023 after the idea and concept of developing the Pneumatec ventilator in 2020. The concept was initiated by NilsTerje Ottestad of OBS Technology AS.

OBS Technology ( https://www.obstechnology.no/) was founded in 1985 by Nils Terje Ottestad. Originally named Ottestad Breathing Systems AS, the core business of the company was at first design and development of breathing equipment for deep sea diving.

The advent of Remote Operated Vehicles in the early 1990sdrastically reduced the need for this equipment. However, the demand forinnovative hydraulic and pneumatic solutions was still there. Customers knowledge to OBS technology led to new projects and products, not only for maritime operations, but also defense, aerospace, medical equipment(Pneumatec), oil and gas.

In 2016 the company was restructured and OBS Technology AS nowholds the patents and IP rights to the products. All production, service andcustom design is performed by daughter company OBS Nova AS.

Today OBS offers a wide range of regulators for several purposes, mainly for customers in the energy and marine sectors. OBS also provide an extended portfolio of customized products and innovative solutions related to flow and pressure control.
